What it’s like to live on a Hurricane devastated island. Hurricane Irma Series – Part II

Lifestyle

Fast-forwarding to 3 months+ post Hurricane Irma and one can say that the British Virgin Islands has made a significant amount of progress towards “normalcy”. Resorts such as Peter Island Resort & Spa, Bitter End Yacht Club and Little Dix Bay may not reopen until late 2018 into 2019. With the closing or downsizing of businesses, comes the laying off of employees. Elmore Stoutt High School and other schools were ripped to shreds by Hurricane Irma, leaving thousands of students without a safe and comfortable place to learn and get an education.

Fashion, Lifestyle

The closet of an Island Girl only consists of one season, summer. When Fall Season comes around, envious thoughts fill my brain. The only thing I can put on are flip flops and crop tops while women in colder regions get to wear cozy sweaters and booties! Finally, this year I got to experience the Fall Season which allowed me to unleash my fashion dragon. I’ll be sharing with you my fashion tips to help you have a comfy yet chic Autumn/Winter season.

Perfect Staycation at Surfsong BVI.

Lifestyle, Press/Collabs

Living in a Tropical paradise has many benefits. One of which is the ability to easily step away from the daily hustle and bustle of a nine to five and glide into the luxury and relaxation that many tourists enjoy when they visit our islands. I’m talking about a staycation. A weekend away from work. No phones, no emails, just the beach, relaxation, excellent food and well-deserved comforts. Taking advantage of excellent offseason rates, we chose to spend our weekend at a charmingly tropical luxury resort located at Beef Island. A beachfront property that I could only describe as a paradise within a paradise. Welcome to affordable luxury. Welcome to Surfsong BVI.
