Staying in the Tulum Jungle with Ikal Bungalows.

Fashion, Lifestyle

Since Tulum’s introduction to the “hot destination list” of 2012, many have flocked to this “re-discovered and untouched” area in Mexico, included me. When planning your trip to Tulum, remember that the closest airport is Cancun International Airport, which is roughly 1.5 to 2 hours away. We booked with private transportation for transport to and from the airport for convenience and relaxation. Ikal Bungalows has three different units each uniquely designed to fit your needs. Two loft units are available but if you’re not a fan of floating stairs, there is a one-level unit available.

Anegada Conch Island & Flamingo Tour!

Lifestyle

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been trying to get my butt over to Anegada to do the Conch Island Tour with Kelly Land & Sea Tours. Thanks to laziness and procrastination this has been a never-ending battle of “to go or not to go”. After hearing Conch Island survived Hurricane Irma’s and Maria’s wrath, I decided it was time to get over to Anegada and have some fun!

How to have fun on a Hurricane devastated island! – Hurricane Irma Series – Part III.

Lifestyle

It seems that all of my blogs and evidently, my life revolves around the aftermath of Hurricanes “Irmaria” and whats to come of the British Virgin Islands. There isn’t a day that I do not hear about Hurricane Irma stories, people angrily asking when they are going to receive their insurance cheques, if the B.V.I’s infrastructure will ever improve and the list goes on. It was about time that my friends and I came together and enjoyed an evening of solace, conversation, food, views and happiness.

What it’s like to live on a Hurricane devastated island. Hurricane Irma Series – Part II

Lifestyle

Fast-forwarding to 3 months+ post Hurricane Irma and one can say that the British Virgin Islands has made a significant amount of progress towards “normalcy”. Resorts such as Peter Island Resort & Spa, Bitter End Yacht Club and Little Dix Bay may not reopen until late 2018 into 2019. With the closing or downsizing of businesses, comes the laying off of employees. Elmore Stoutt High School and other schools were ripped to shreds by Hurricane Irma, leaving thousands of students without a safe and comfortable place to learn and get an education.
