Staying in a Luxury Beach Front Property in Barbados, Villa Bonita! Villa Tour!

As I’ve said many times before, living in the Caribbean definitely has its pros. During our long weekends or holidays, some of us decide to take part in a fun activity known as Island Hopping. With such an extensive list of islands, each with their own unique culture and activities, you have so many choices to choose from.  As you’ve probably seen from my Instagram, I took a quick tropical vacation to Barbados a few weeks ago! If you don’t know what or where Barbados is, it is a charming little island located at the southern tip of the Leeward Islands in the Caribbean! Barbados is known for its beautiful dreamy sandy beaches, pristine turquoise waters, vibrant culture and sunny year round weather. It is also known for its amazing villas and hotels situated throughout the whole island. This island girl here had the opportunity to stay in one of those drool-worthy villas on the island!

As we slowly descended onto the Grantley Adams International Airport tarmac and sped through Immigration and Customs. After a long journey that Friday afternoon, I immediately transitioned from stressed-out Monique to laid-back Frankiee. With the taxi filled up with our suitcases, we started on our scenic journey along the west coastline of Barbados.

We slowly turned off of the main road, and slid through a quaint little neighborhood, which we later realized was the location of the villa. I bring to you Villa Bonita, a beautiful beach front property located on the prestigious west coast of Barbados.

With such a dreary travel day, we were extremely tired and starved, but after being greeted by the effervescent staff, we were immediately revitalized.  After receiving welcome drinks, we were guided through the front door and began the tour of our beautiful, temporary home.

Villa Bonita sits on over 15,000 square feet with a total of 6 luxurious bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms, a living room, dinning room and outdoor/indoor living spaces which all seamlessly flows into each other. As I entered the villa, it was hard to differentiate where the outside beauty ended and where the indoors began. My jaw almost hit the designer welcome carpet as I got a quick glimpse of where I would be staying for the next few days. The natural flow of the property’s landscape was definitely not ignored. It oozed the right amount of elegance while still playing into the tropical theme foreign vacationers dream of!

The Gourmet Kitchen.

About 15 footsteps from the entrance of euphoria, lays the gorgeous and aesthetically pleasing gourmet kitchen. Glistening white cabinets, accompanied by mirrored backsplashes with all the high-end fixtures and finishes showed the impressive attention to detail that Villa Bonita is keen on.

This is where all of your gourmet meals will be prepared for you by your highly qualified in-house chef, yes, your in house chef. As much as I would have loved to chef it up in this amazing kitchen, I couldn’t bring myself to dirtying it.

Tropical Courtyard Oasis.

As we turned our heads to the right, we were greeted by the open-aired courtyard completed with daybeds and sun loungers and an amazing pool to match the theme of the whole villa.  Tropical flora and fauna trailed the pool and seating area, feeding off of the Tropical Oasis Vibes this island emits.

A Place to Chill.

Right off of the courtyard sits the white-themed living room. Intricately placed features and fittings create an elegant bliss where the whole gang could relax after a long day of adventures in Barbados. The living room also serves as a portal to stunning views of your own private beach and the Caribbean Sea.

The front veranda expands from one end of the villa to the next. Countless seating is available for tanning, relaxing, birdwatching or whatever is your cup of tea.

If you’re ever in the mood for a formal dining experience thats not at a restaurant, there is a dinning table that seats 12 people comfortably and fashionably. Just sit back and relax as Chef Paul prepares all your meals, the exact way you like them!

Other recreational rooms situated inside this exclusive villa includes your own personal gym and theatre room located in the basement!

As I said earlier, this home boasts 6 glorious bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms, so, remember when you’re booking this villa, the more people, the merrier! Now, lets head upstairs to my favorite rooms in this villa, the master bedroom and bathroom.

The Sanctuary for Unwinding.

Grand Master-bedroom.

Luxury is the only word that best describes this room. The thoughtfully designed, classical interiors scream elegance with the help of luxurious furnishings and finishing touches.  After a long day out palavering on the beaches of Barbados, it was nice to come home to rest my body on man-made clouds while falling asleep to the surf song below.

Floor to ceiling glass doors became the only artwork that was needed in this room, because on the other end was a masterpiece.

Shower/Bath time became an extravagant event for me while I stayed at Villa Bonita. Spa vibes consumed the master bathroom thanks to its custom designs provided by Milldue and custom fittings by Treemme Siena, both sought-after Italian interior design companies.

Trying to stay awake was the hardest task while laying in this tub.

Leaving this tropical paradise was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do but it was time to head back to the real World. A huge thank you to all the staff at Villa Bonita, I enjoyed every minute of it and I guarantee anyone who stays there will enjoy it as much as I did!
