What to do in New York City? My FlyNyon Helicopter Experience over NYC!
Visiting New York City for a short period of time can be quite overwhelming with all the amazing sights to see and places to eat. This is where FlyNyon comes in handy. FlyNyon is a helicopter flight service with locations situated in NYC, Miami, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Since this was my first official visit to the beloved city, I thought to myself, I have to do it right and why not do it from a different perspective! 1:00 P.M came and it was time to head to the luxurious East Blade Lounge with its convenient location in Manhattan which happens to be one of the two Helicopter pads located in New York for this company.

The cozy lounge room where I waited for my tour.

This is what I wore to the helicopter tour! Coat – London Fog. Top – Zara. Pants – Topshop. Shoes – Nine West Booties. Handbag – Camelia Roma. Sunglasses. – Dior.
After a short safety video and a brief discussion on who will be sitting on the floor of the helicopter with their feet hanging outside, it was time to get harnessed-up and board the helicopter.

Group shot! The Harnesses were to keep us attached to the helicopter and to keep our cameras/phones attached to us!

The beautiful helicopter, yes this was a doors-off flight, yes my heart was in my ass.

Getting strapped in before we take off!
Now lets get to the juicy part of this tour! We slowly ascended and headed North towards the Central Park area.

Beautiful City view.

From the air, NYC seemed so small yet so big.
People suddenly became ants inhabiting their nests known as New York City. I was so blown away with how much more magical this amazing city became.

Flatiron Building.

Central Park.

As an architecture enthusiast, seeing the beautifully designed high-rises from ground-level was a blessing in itself. Each building carried its own unique story, from who lived there to who worked there. Seeing them from above elevated my experience to a whole new level. Also, guess who got the adventure seat? Shoes – Public Desire.
One thing that I am so thankful for, was the opportunity to get so close to attractions such as The Empire State Building and the World Trade Center! Although I was not actually going to try, it felt like I could’ve just reached out and touch the buildings!

Empire State Building.

World Trade Center.
Finally, we got the chance to capture the money shot of the Financial District, get it? Haha.

Financial District.
After seeing the financial district, it was time to head back to base. Although I was still so shocked and amazed that I got to see the city from the sky, I was also depressed that it was over! I highly recommend FlyNyon to anyone who is interested in helicopter tours over NYC! Not only are they extremely professional, they also cater to any requests you may have and make the experience even more enjoyable. Now I know these photos have convinced you that this may be one of the best experiences of your life, so what are you waiting for? Thank you for tuning in! I believe you will enjoy it there! Thank you!
This is awesome. I have ridden in a helicopter at a fair once, but it was nothing like this. I would love to do a “real” ride.
Trust me, you will love it!
Wow, this looks awesome! Do you know if this is independent of the weather? I’m always a bit worried about booking things like this in advance in case there is rain.
Hello thank you for enjoying my blog! It is kind of dependent on the weather but they are keen on communication and will let you know if they have to reschedule your flight or if you’d like a refund. But I also happened to be in New York when it was extremely rainy and it happened to be raining a little bit before we flew up but they did not cancel the flight!
This is AWESOME! I have been to NYC so many times but I have never visited via helicopter ride. How cool…definitely adding to my bucket list!!
Yes it was amazing!
That picture with your legs dangling out of the chopper is insane! Gorgeous shoes and what a view – would definitely think of seeing NYC from the skies after seeing this!
