“Where to stay in NYC?” A #QuinEssential stay in New York City.
I can blame nothing more or less than fate for how I ended up in New York City. It was a mix of excitement and major anxiety as I boarded my Delta flight to New York City, leaving my little island behind! For a week, I was saying goodbye to my tropical paradise, the British Virgin islands and saying hello to the chilly spring weather of New York City, trading in my Havaianas for new Nine West booties. With one carryon suitcase in tow, I stuffed it filled with coats and sweaters, which was completely unusual for such a bikini-clad girl, and made my way to my next adventure!
4 hours later and I have finally arrived to the city. My temporary home, The Quin Hotel, picked me up from JFK in a luxury Mercedes Car all thanks to their amazing QA Concierge services they have to offer.

I immediately felt like I stepped unto the set of a movie with how drastically different the atmosphere and weather was, basically a different world. Even though I left clear blue hued skies for 45 degree Fahrenheit overcast weather, it did not hinder my motivation to explore the city like I intended to!

As much fun as my adventures were in New York City, I always looked forward to coming back to the comforts of my hotel. A block away from Central Park, The Quin’s location made it easy to have a wild night on the town and crawl right into my comfy DUXIANA bed within minutes.

Based on Art, this 5 star boutique hotel pays homage to some of the most sought after artists and artworks right in the lobby of their hotel, which was only fitting since this very building once housed the century’s greatest artists such as Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Georgia O’Keeffe, and Marc Chagall. Modern meets classical when I think about the architecture of this haven. 17 floors of crimson red brick walls interrupted by strategic window placements are complimented by modern, bright interiors, marble flooring and counters and smiling staff. Think of The Quin as a luxury urban retreat fitted with top notch technology, Concierge services and impeccable artwork.

Floor to ceiling windows complemented by the LCD art display in the lobby.

Where I took my beauty naps! (and stuff my face!). In room dining allowed me to enjoy my two favorite things at the same time, relaxing and eating.

State-of-the-art technology leaving you with access to concierge services and controlling your blinds/shades at the touch of a button. Also, if you’d like to have something picked up from Bergdorf Goodman, a personal shopper is one button-touch away.

and last but not least the view!
My stay at the Quin was nothing short of phenomenal. I definitely recommend it to anyone visiting NYC or if you are lucky enough to live close by and want a little weekend getaway, this is the perfect place to do so! Special thank you to Jacqueline and Derek of the Quin for having me, I enjoyed every minute of it.
