Luxury Yacht Club in the BVI. – Loro Piana SuperYacht Regatta at Yacht Club Costa Smeralda.
When it comes to finding spots with the perfect mix between relaxation and luxury here in the British Virgin Islands, you really do not have to look that hard. But if you’re having difficulty in doing so, look no further than the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda. Located adjacent to the Bitter End Yacht Club and Saba Rock, YCCS is basically in the heart of North Sound, Virgin Gorda, the hub of water sports in the British Virgin Islands. Getting there is even easier! A quick ferry ride (Call for their schedule) from Gun Creek or Leverick Bay can get you to luxurious relaxation with a Piña Colada in hand in 10 minutes. As you arrive, you are greeted by one of the biggest floating docks in the Caribbean.

The floating dock!
The dock provides berthing for mega yachts and many services are provided for the boats! But if you do not own a boat, you can just gawk at all the beautiful mega yachts docked at the Yacht Club.

Quickly strolling down the dock, you start to approach the welcome/concierge section of the yacht club! If you have any questions/concerns or want to book anything, this will be the best place to ask!

Now I am on my way up to the beautiful Azzurra Restaurant and infiniti pool, that overlooks the whole marina. On our way to this wonderful restaurant, I have the pleasure of passing by the most beautifully landscaped flora and fauna that lines the paved/stone pathway.

It was close to lunch time so I opted to head straight to the restaurant.

The menu has a vast range of choices that cater to anyone’s needs. After scanning the menu numerous times, I decided to go with the Chicken Pasta with the most savory red pesto, mozzarella and parmesan cheese and a salad of the day that included tasty beets, fresh grapefruit and oranges.

After lunch, I decided to take a tour of the lounges that YCCS has to offer. From an aspiring architect’s mindset, the effortless flow of the floor plans easily draw you to explore each aspect of the Yacht Club. The choice of colors, textures and patterns cohesively blends together, which in effect, transports you to the South of France on a mid summer day.

Since the Loro Piana Regatta was in effect, The Loro Piana Clothing collection was on show in the Yacht Club. Visit their website to view more from their collection. Loro Piana.
It was time to head to the Pool to relax and lounge while waiting on the boats to come back to the marina. The decoration on the pool deck reminds me of a summer in the Cote d’Azur circa 1950. The striped red/white pillows used for the white lounge chairs really adds to the “Summer in the South of France” feel.

After picking the perfect location, I ordered a Piña Colada, laid back and basked in the ambience.

Now the most beautiful and architecturally thought-out area of the Yacht Club has to be the infiniti pool overlooking the marina! Not only can you chill poolside while enjoying views of the North Sound, you can also enjoy the views of the yachts docked in the marina.

Amazing views.
Slowly but surely, the Super yachts were starting to arrive to the Yacht Club!

Now it was time to leave the Yacht Club after a long day of relaxation. Hopping back onto the ferry to head back to Gun Creek, waving to the staff that took amazing care of us for the day, (shout out to Jill and Marialisa) I already started to reminisce on what a wonderful day I had. Thank you for having me YCCS!
