My 2018 Spring Outfit Ideas and Tips! Tropical Living Inspired Lookbook Ft. REVOLVE Pieces.
While watching the News last night, it was brought to my attention that Spring made its way back into our lives again. Now you know your girl didn’t know anything about this “Spring Season”, since I live on and island where it is literally 80 degrees Fahrenheit everyday. And it seems that the North East of the United States of America doesn’t know what Spring is either, thanks to Winter Storm Toby. Any who, now that we are all on the same page (knowing that Spring has started) I thought, what better way to kick off the Season than with a blog post about Spring Outfit/Lookbook ideas and tips? I’ll be spilling the tea on my favorite pieces for Spring featuring REVOLVE clothing.
Jump to:
1. Chiquita Banana Vibes.
For this look, I paired the red polka dot long sleeve crop top with a white lace and tassel skirt I found at a local boutique. This outfit exudes spring thanks to its playful textures and bright colors.
2. Keeping it Bold in Gold.
I found inspiration from African Sun Goddesses and Beyoncé in her “Hold Up” music video, so I opted for a breezy maxi dress with tassels that are attached to the sleeves and the bottom of the dress. This look could be dressed up or down by switching out bare feet/ flat sandals for heels!
3. “Orange” you glad it’s Spring?
Piggy-backing off of the colorful mood we have going on above, this beautiful short orange-yellow polka dot dress is perfect for the Spring-Summer season. The sleeves cut right off at the elbows, allowing for a cooler effect, both temperature and fashion wise. I completed this look with golden bangles and cute sandals.
4. The Ultimate Revolve Island Gal Suit.
Recently I’ve gotten tired of seeing the same “regular degular” swimsuits plastered all over Instagram, so I decided to switch things up a bit! I paired this red polka dot long sleeve crop top with a red high cut one piece. Not only does it put a spin on the classic red one piece swimsuit, it also pops with my skin tone! “Two birds killed with one stone” To finish the look off I added a shell/rope belt that my mom had hiding in her closet for years.
5. Extra! Extra!
As for my extras, a.k.a accessories, I have been loving the straw, rattan and tassel vibes that resort wear accessories seem to be famous for. I prefer to get them in neutral brown colors so that they can match with everything! I bought the hat in the picture below on the side of the road during one of my visits to Jamaica. The rattan round bag was purchased from Fianna Fleuss Designs! The sandals are by far my favorite spring piece I have so far. They are made by a company called Lula Mena which is based in El Salvador. This company focuses on eco-friendly fashion and home accessories made by at-risk women and artisans of El Salvador! They’re all about fair trade, eco-friendless and woman empowerment!
